Frama Shelf Library System

When I visited Copenhagen in November, I knew I had to stop in at Frama. I remember how my husband and I barely entered, before the doors closed (as it was evening time). What struck me, is that it’s so much more than a shop where you purchase items, although it’s that too, it’s an experience that you don’t forget. It is quite beautiful to the eyes and senses. I blissfully wandered throughout the entire space, as the narrow hallways take you from one room/observation to the next. The curation of the entire space is incredible, to say the least.

Among other things at Frama, the Shelf Library System has always been on my list of must-haves. And although it would have been difficult to fit in my suitcase, who says that I didn’t try! Needless to say, it didn’t work out, but as soon as I returned home to America, I ordered it right away (fortunately, Frama ships worldwide).

Our current bedroom does not have much space, and the issue arose, that we needed a small desk area to do some work! The shelf system was/is a perfect solution to the problem at hand. Because it is floating off of the floor, it doesn't utilize any floor area, which was crucial for us.

The system is also customizable and can be tailor-designed, according to your needs. I ordered two shorter rails, along with one shelf and a desk (which has a greater depth than the shelf, making it possible and comfortable to work/journal on the surface). The system also comes in three finishes: natural, dark, and white. I chose the natural oil for now, but honestly love ALL of them.

As we are currently in the process of building our dream home, I have carved out an entire wall to do floor-to- ceiling shelves from Frama. That’s another great thing about them, they can easily be added to seamlessly. Excited to have them grace my entire wall!
